Five lessons we can learn from the animal kingdom

Are we really as complicated as we believe we are? What lessons can we learn from some animal friends to help us live more simply? (Nov 2nd)

Earlier in the week, I sat down to write a different version of this email. I had it nearly all done, and I was paying attention to the automatic 'draft saved' notification I received every so often.
To my surprise, when I came in today to write the final parts, I discovered that nothing had been saved and everything I'd done had disappeared into the unknown.
Darn it, I thought.
I was now facing two options... (there may have been more, but two is the one I could see immediately in front of me).
The first was to get super annoyed and frustrated, and maybe email my website provider to tell them what I really think of their platform... (shhhh), OR I could show up with curiosity and conclude that the previous version was probably simply not the right one I needed you all to see, and this unexpected blank canvas is a gift from the Universe, wrapped in an invitation to just start again.

So here I am now. Starting again. This time, though, the facts brought below and the lessons we can learn are more concise, so... enjoy! And yes... I will make sure to manually save this draft as well...

Five facts from the animal kingdom that may surprise you, and the potential lessons we can all learn.

1 - Elephants use their exceptionally long-term memory, particularly that of older female matriarchs, to remember the locations of crucial water sources and migratory routes, sometimes over decades.

The lesson we can learn is one of TRUST. We also have answers that can be brought up and used for our own guidance, if only we didn't shoot down our intuition and replace it so eagerly with fears, over-worrying, over-thinking and other such habits. We have the answers if only we let our hearts lead us there.
---
2 - Eagles use the rising air generated by a storm, allowing them to be lifted higher and glide with the air currents, essentially using the storm's power to their advantage and conserving their own energy for hunting or migration.

The lesson we can learn is one of PAUSE and PRESENCE. Instead of getting into a (potential) sh*t storm all flustered and thinking of the worst-case scenario, we can explore what the contributing elements are and find our path of least resistance to move forward.
---
3 - Turtles are known for their slow pace of moving forward (nothing new here), but what can we learn from them?

The lesson we can learn is that of PERSEVERANCE and trust. In these crazy times, we have a tendency to imagine that anything worth having, getting or achieving is worth getting instantly. The lesson here is about continuing to move forward even when things are challenging, difficult and when we don't get the results we want at the speed we want them. Clever, no?
---
4 - Octopuses are known for their adaptability and ability to outsmart enemies and obstacles that come their way.

The lesson we can learn here is exactly the same: FLEXIBILITY and ADAPTABILITY. We are so good at only seeing two options in which to move forward, the best case scenario and the worst one, and here we have an invitation to think bigger, wider and from a viewpoint that there is always another way. Always...
---
5 - Ants and Bees live in colonies. They have people doing different things to achieve different jobs. What they don't have is people being jealous of other people and thinking they are not good enough compared to others...

The lesson we can learn here is that we are all UNIQUE, and it is a blessing that we are all so different from each other. Yes, we may have the same job as someone else, but what we bring to it is unique and should be celebrated. Remember how boring the world would be if we all did the same, were the same, and were fantastic at the exact same thing as everyone else. Nope! Our differences are the things that keep us interesting, and that's a jolly good thing!

I hope these little 'facts' remind you to just be you. You are the best thing that can be, but only when you stop trying to be like everyone else, and let fear push you into being someone you aren't.

That's it, really!

This week in Healing Conversations...

This week in Healing Conversations, I chatted with Domenica Heals about how she can claim that EVERYTHING IS CURABLE, and a whole lot more!

In this episode, Domenica, a medical medium, death doula, and open channel, dives deep into the fascinating world of energetic healing, unravelling the connections between our beliefs, emotions, and physical wellbeing.

Domenica shares her unique journey from a childhood marked by spiritual sensitivity, through profound personal challenges, to embodying her purpose as a healer and channel for the angelic realm. As the conversation turns to chronic illness, emotional pain, anxiety, and depression, it illuminates how the mind, body, and spirit are intricately linked and how healing truly begins with a change in consciousness, acceptance, and alignment.

More about Domenica:

Doménica is a bridge between Earth’s ancient wisdom and the celestial intelligence of the highest realms. Her mission is anchored in raising consciousness and guiding people toward reconnection with the elemental intelligence of Mother Earth. Leveraging elemental medicine, energy mastery and refined consciousness work, Doménica supports people in remembering their innate wholeness and restoring inner–and outer–balance.

She channels a high-frequency consciousness known as “ACME” — the intelligence of the highest point — flowing through her as a bridge between realms. In this partnership, she anchors the highest wisdom into human experience, translating cosmic frequencies into actionable, human-felt guidance. A unique facet of her offerings lies in her fluent work with the water element—both in physical and etheric reality. Through intention, breath and heart-space, she guides water to move through density, transform stagnant energy and restore flow. This elemental mastery becomes a living conduit for profound shifts across the body, emotion and consciousness. Her work is not about adding something new; it’s about unveiling what already lives within.

The Power of Reinvention

About 4 years ago, I took a deep breath and agreed to co-author this book, The Power of Reinvention. My chapter tells my story of childhood bullying and intense feelings of not belonging, all the way through my transformation following my (very welcomed) divorce and the fear-free life I started leading afterwards.

The book is available on all Amazon stores (the link in the photo takes you to the UK one). All money raised is donated to a BEE charity, and you can get it on Kindle or as a paperback.

The book features 8 other authors, each with their own stories of reinvention—for your own dose of inspiration!

A message from the Universe

Dottie's Corner

I'm glad we're talking about lessons today, because I have some of my own I would like to teach my HUUMANS...
1. always be stroking, never be not stroking!
2. treats are not just for sometimes, then can also be for more often
3. going to the park is best. Just stop acting all weird when I bark at all the other dogs - this is what I was bred to do!
4. always say I is a good girl. and smile as you say it, and you can surprise me with a treat, too...

I work extensively with people to help them transform their lives from fears, limitations and compromises, to harmony, alignment and joy, or in other words, helping people find natural healing to mind, body and soul.
