Some inspiration, that's all
As we were sitting with the windows and doors rep to decide if to go with his company for said windows and doors replacements, he handed us a brochure to help us choose what we wanted.
I want 'TARDIS BLUE' door, I said because my daughter is obsessed with (a program called) Dr Who, and she would love the door to be the colour of his time machine. The guy seemed interested and then told us that he, himself, as a youngster, was an extra at a Dr Who episode! He was one of the aliens that gave the Doctor a parking ticket for wrong parking!!
We managed to find a piece of paper and asked him to sign for my daughter, who wasn't home at the time and was already being kept informed via a string of text messages. He said he'd be happy to sign - later, so he could tell her he's the alien that replaced the windows and doors!
As things went, I immediately agreed to accept him for the job, but Ish, never the one to fall for anything, wasn't having any of it. (In his defence, the quote really was on the very high end).
After some time, when the energy was no longer as smiley as it was at the start, I made my excuses and went to pick up my daughter. 'How did it end?', I asked Ish later, and he said he told the guy to call on Monday after he'd had some time to think this over.
The next day, my daughter found the guy's note. It was the loveliest note about his alien days and some encouragement for better parking when her time at the wheel arrived.
Carlton from Crystal Windows - you made a teenage girl smile!!! (and made her mum and grandmother love you forever!!)
And for anyone interested - Dr Who with Christopher Eccleston, Series 1, episode 2 :)

Indian Diaries
In January 2020, I took my daughters (then 9 and 13) and we embarked on a 6-month backpacking trip across India.
At least that was the plan.
In reality, we managed 3 months, until, in March 2020, because of COVID, we got on a rescue flight to Israel.
I already told you about this trip and will do so again soon, but I wanted to share the short blog I wrote while we were there, in case you like to see it... https://indiadiaries758358260.wordpress.com/2020/02/05/india-diaries/

I recently had the opportunity to sit down for an incredibly heartfelt conversation on Say YES to Your Soul with Tessa Lynne Alburn, and I couldn’t wait to share it with you.
This episode was deeply personal for me. We explored the emotions that come with big life transitions—letting go of old versions of ourselves, stepping into the unknown, and learning to trust that everything is unfolding exactly as it should.
We talked about:
✨ The fears and doubts that arise when life doesn’t go as planned—and how to navigate them.
✨ The unexpected moments that remind us we’re stronger than we think.
✨ The importance of surrendering to life’s flow rather than forcing a specific outcome.
✨ How embracing uncertainty can lead to the most beautiful transformations.
If you’ve ever felt stuck in the in-between—no longer who you were, but not quite sure where you’re going—I hope this conversation brings you the clarity and reassurance you need.
