When life feels so challenging, what do you do? Spiral or change...?
Ha! You either flinched when you read the title of this email or you hurriedly opened it, so what insight you may find. Regardless of whether you feel life sucks or not so much, I bet there is room for improvement, and this, my friend, is what we'll be doing here today!
Right! Let's get started 😈
Three reasons why life might feel a little sucky right now, all skillfully avoiding the latest elections and other world chaos and sh*tery taking place right now...
Think for a second about some of your recent struggles - maybe it's your health, finance, relationships, kids, job... the list is long and sometimes, it's really the combination of all of the above that is making us feel so overwhelmed and like nothing is ever going to get better or go your way!
Here are THREE things I want you to consider, and once you've identified which one is your personal culprit, continue to the next section you'll find some ideas for what to do...
1) can it be that you are deep in (automatic, subconscious) negative conversations with yourself? (that's when you repeat the negative mantras of (for example): 'I don't know what to do', 'I'm too old to start something new', 'why did I choose this path', 'I should have already had this sorted', 'look at my friends, they are so far ahead in life than me'... and so on...
2) can it be that you are catastrophising? These are statements that use 'all or nothing' words. For example, 'things never go my way', 'they always do this', 'I'm too old/young/qualified to apply'... Catastrophising makes you believe you have no way out of the situation and that things will always stay the way they are.
3) can it be that you are afraid of change? That you'd like to change one or more aspects of life, but you don't know where to start and so convince yourself everything needs to be perfect and sorted before you make a move? (see point 2, about catastrophising...).
What to do?
1. Negative voice = remind yourself your negative voice doesn't know what might happen and doesn't predict the future. It wants to protect you so tells you lies that keep you in your comfort zone, where you are safe (but also when you can't fulfil your big life dreams...)
2. Catastrophising = pay attention to the way you speak to yourself and when you catch yourself using all or nothing words, change the sentence. For example, instead of saying 'I'll always be sick', say 'I haven't found a solution - yet'... This helps your brain recognise that it is not going into battle but can find a way to make the reality you wish come true.
3. Change = It's only your negative voice (and the subsequent catastrophising) that tells you everything must be cleared and known before you set on your journey of change. The truth is that you don't. All you really need is to make a decision to trust your intuition and that new ideas/people/opportunities will show up as and when you need them.
If you know everything before you set on your way, you will either never get going OR, you'll just do the same things as you did before, just give them a new name...

As far back as I can remember, I had a fascination with spirituality. I would wake up each morning as a child with three burning questions: who am I? Where did I come from? where am I going? As a child, I was able to directly perceive Spirit. I qualified as a chartered accountant, working in various countries all the while exploring my spiritual interest stemming from my Indian heritage.
In my quest for spiritual knowledge, I received initiations from an international spiritual movement. Following a change in circumstances, I shifted direction but continued to devour all spiritual-based literature as well as attend workshops to seek a greater understanding of spirituality.
Following a near-death experience and spiritual awakening, I uncovered an ability to act as a natural trance medium and voice channel and awakened past life energy healing abilities. Since then I dived more fully into the spiritual field and have studied, trained in and practised numerous healing modalities including sound healing using the voice, crystal & Himalayan bowls, gongs, drumming, Angelic Reiki, regression therapy, hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, spiritual counselling, life coaching, space clearing, mediumship, light language, soul transformation therapy, soul plan readings, Akashic Records readings, Chi Kung, shamanic healing and meditation.
