Other people and services you may be interested in - check out some wonderful people, below (Feb, 15th 2026)
I thought I’d do something a little different in this part of the email. Instead of sharing a story, I’d love to introduce you to a few incredible people whose gifts I’ve had the privilege of experiencing over the years.
If someone resonates with you, feel free to reach out and connect. There’s no affiliation here — just something I wanted to share with you on this cold(ish) February Sunday.
Enjoy.
(oh, and I'm there too, if you've been curious and didn't connect yet)

This week in Healing Conversations

This week, I spoke with Joelle Kaufman about her book, 'Crushing the Cancer Curveball.'
Today, we sit down with Joelle Kaufman, an extraordinary guest who has faced cancer twelve times over the past 43 years. Through her own journey and supporting loved ones through theirs, Joelle Kaufman has learned that healing extends far beyond medicine. It’s about rewiring your mindset, building a supportive team, and embracing daily habits that contribute to resilience and well-being.
In what unfolds as an honest, heartfelt conversation, Joelle Kaufman unpacks the reality of a cancer diagnosis, confronting fear, guilt, and the world’s expectations, including the pressure to “stay positive.” Instead, she shares practical wisdom on how to feel your emotions fully, communicate your needs, and find small but meaningful moments of joy, humour, and hope, even on the darkest days.
Whether you’re supporting someone through illness, managing your own health struggles, or simply interested in reclaiming power during life’s challenges, this episode is full of profoundly human insights and actionable advice. Prepare to be inspired by stories of courage, clarity, and a reminder that, even in the hardest circumstances, each day still holds the potential for kindness, connection, and healing.
More about Joelle:
Joelle Kaufman has faced cancer 12 times over 43 years—her own journey plus walking alongside loved ones through theirs. She wrote "Crushing the Cancer Curveball" because she discovered something most people miss: healing isn't just about medicine. It's about rewiring your mind, building the right team around you, and creating small daily habits that add up to extraordinary resilience. Her approach works whether you're a CEO or a stay-at-home parent, because chronic illness doesn't care about your resume—it cares about how you respond.
"Crushing the Cancer Curveball" breaks down the mental traps that make suffering worse, shows you how to build your championship support team, and gives you simple rituals that help your body and mind work together instead of against each other. This isn't about positive thinking or pretending everything's fine. It's about strategic thinking—treating your diagnosis as information, not a verdict, and designing your path forward with clarity instead of panic. Because the most powerful healing tool you have isn't in a pharmacy—it's in how you think, who surrounds you, and what you do every single day.

YouTube is forever changing its rules and way it's doing things, but my podcast is being shown to fewer and fewer people (sob, sob).
Would you help me change that by watching this week's conversation (or any of the previous ones), so that YouTube start treating the podcast channel with some love? Here's the link to the channel - choose any episode you like...https://www.youtube.com/@healingconversations2049/videos
Dottie's Corner
![]() | I recently heard that HUUMANS have a need to squeeze cute things. They say it's called 'cute aggression' and that's when the brain is overwhelmed by a very positive emotion (like when you see a cute dog...). The aggression helps to balance an emotional overload. I don't really understand any of that, but I do understand I am constantly being squeezed, and for this reason, I am putting up my cute-but-don't-touch face whenever the HUUMANS are around... (and yes, it's not fully mastered yet...) |
I work extensively with people to help them transform their lives from fears, limitations and compromises, to harmony, alignment and joy, or in other words, helping people find natural healing to mind, body and soul.
